Section 47(3) in The State Bank Of India (Subsidiary Banks) Act, 1959
(3)If any person--(a)fails, within the stipulated time, to produce any balance, books, account, security or other document or to furnish any statement or information which under sub-section (2) it is his duty to produce or furnish, or to answer any question relating to the business of the bank under inspection which is asked by an officer making the inspection, or(b)in any document or information required or furnished or while answering any question put to him, wilfully makes a statement which is false in any material particular, knowing it to be false, or wilfully omits to make a material statement, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and shall also be liable to fine.
