Information sought:
The Complainant filed an RTI application dated 18.06.2020 seeking the following information pertaining to the DOPT OM No. 39020/01/2016-Estt (B) dated 21-06- 2016 and 19-07- 2017 in respect of IIM Sirmaur for the period since January 2017 till date:1
1. "How many recruitments have been made by IIM Sirmaur since January 2017 till date?
2. Kindly give details of posts (Faculty, Non-faculty, Consultant, Research Associate, any other), whether in permanent, temporary, ad hoc, contract, or deputation basis or in any other capacity.
3. Kindly also furnish the information whether the recruitment was done based on written test or interview or both.
4. Results of how many of these recruitments were uploaded on the Institute website? Please give post-wise and date-wise details. Please furnish authenticated and duly certified screen shots of the uploaded documents.
5. Results of how many of these recruitments were displayed on the Institute notice boards? Please give post-wise and date-wise details with their authenticated and duly certified copies.
6. Please also give details of persons finally selected with marks in written test and/or interview."
The CPIO furnished a point-wise reply to the complainant on 22.07.2020 stating as under:
Point No. 1 & 2:- The required details may be found under jobs(@iims on IIM Sirmaur website.
Point No. 3:- For Group A positions - Interviews For Group B positions - written test For Faculty - Faculty recruitment seminar + interview All other positions - interviews.
Point No. 4 & 5:- Kindly note that majority of the advts. clearly state that:-
Reply:-"All correspondence from the institute including interview call letter, shall be sent to the email ID provided by the shortlisted candidate".
Point No. 6:- The finally selected candidates who have joined may be found on Faculty/staff details on Institute website. For others the information is 3rd party info & cannot be provided.
Being dissatisfied, the complainant filed a First Appeal dated 22.07.2020. FAA's order dated 28.08.2020 upheld the reply of CPIO.2
Feeling aggrieved and dissatisfied, complainant approached the Commission with the instant Complaint.
Relevant Facts emerging during Hearing:
The Commission remarked upon a perusal of the facts on record that the Complainant has intimated vide letter dated Nil that he wishes to withdraw the instant Complaint.
Decision The Commission accepts the prayer of the Complainant and closes the case.
The Complaint is disposed of accordingly.
