Section 96(i) in The Rajasthan District Boards Act, 1954
(i)providing a sufficient supply of pure and wholesome water where the health of the inhabitants is endangered by the insufficiency or unwholesomeness of the existing supply, guarding from population of water used for human consumption and preventing polluted water from being so used;
