Section 2(a) in Bihar Preservation and Improvement of Animals Act, 1955
(a)"animal" means -(i)bull, bullock, cow, heifer, buffalo, calf, sheep, goat and any other ruminating animal;(ii)Poultry; and(iii)elephant, horse, camel, ass, mule, dog, swine and such other domesticated animals as may be specified in this behalf by the State Government by notification in the Official Gazette;
