Sections 8 and 54(2)(d). - After the test of the annual register has been carried out in the manner prescribed in Rule 19, a thorough verification of the entries in the annual register shall be carried out by the Consolidator. This shall be done by reading out the record in the village and explaining every entry in it to the tenure-holders collected in as large a number as possible somewhere in the village itself. [He shall so ascertain views of the tenure-holders concerned or the persons interested with regard to their shares in joint holdings. The mistakes and the disputes detected and the shares indicated by the persons concerned, shall be noted in the appropriate columns of the list of mistakes and disputes in land records in C.H.
