Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI request dt.4.6.08 with the CPIO, Dept. of Post, Contai Division. She requested for the following information:
'Duration of last tenure of service as OA (From... to...) in Contai Divisional Office of Sri Bikas Chanda, PA Contai Head PO, and the names of the files he used to deal with as OA'. The CPIO replied on 13.6.08 denying the information u/s 8(1)(g) & (j). The applicant filed an appeal dt.25.9.08 with the Appellate Authority reiterating her request for the information. The Appellate Authority replied on 10.10.08 upholding the decision of the CPIO. The applicant then filed an appeal dt.29.10.08 before CIC.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the hearing for February 27, 2009.
3. Both the Appellant and the Respondent were absent at the hearing.
Decision
4. The Commission directs the CPIO to provide information related to the last tenure of service as OA of Mr. Bikas Chanda, as sought in the RTI request, within 15 days of receipt of this Order.
5. The appeal is disposed off.
