Section 173(1) in Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964
(1)The Government may after consulting the municipal council, for the purpose of undertaking and executing under this Chapter improvement schemes in any [municipal area] [Substituted by Act 36 of 1994 w.e.f. 1-6.1994.], direct the establishment of an Improvement Board in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter.
