Section 4(i) in The Goa Salaries and Allowances of Ministers Act, 1964
(i)'residence' includes the staff quarters and other buildings appurtenant thereto and the garden thereof [but does not include such portion of the residence or buildings appurtenant thereto as is exclusively set apart for use as office at the residence and is used as such] [Inserted by the Amendment Act 9 of 1979.];
