                                    (Video-Conferencing)

1. Mr. Jayant Mehta, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submits that the petitioner is seeking stay of the operation of the impugned award and that, possibly inadvertently, the application for stay has either not been filed or is not on record.

2. He seeks a short adjournment in order to enable the petitioner to place the application for stay if already filed on record or in the alternative to file an application for stay.

3. It is seen that the impugned award runs into over 90 pages and that the petition is preceded only by a two page list of dates, which is woefully insufficient and is not compliant with the procedure laid down by this Court.

4. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to place on record, at least 24 hours in advance of the next date of hearing, a short note of his submissions not exceeding five pages, after exchanging a copy with the respondent. The respondent is also at liberty to file its responding note of submissions not exceeding five pages, if it chooses to oppose the petition.

5. Renotify on 29th January, 2021.
