Section 170 in Siliguri Municipal Corporation Act, 1990
170. Placing or carrying any pipe, etc. over, under or across any immovable property.
- If it appears to the Mayor-in-Council that it is necessary to place or carry any pipe or drain over, under or across the immovable property of any person to maintain the only or the most convenient municipal water-supply to, and drainage of, any premises, the Mayor- in-Council may, after giving the owner of the immovable property an opportunity of being heard, authorize the owner or occupier of the premises to place or carry such pipe or drain over, under or across such immovable property in such manner as it may think fit to allow.
