(1)This Act may be called the East Punjab Children Act, 1949.(2)It extend to the whole of the [State] [Substituted for the word 'Province' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] of [Punjab] [Substituted for the words 'East Punjab' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.].(3)Notwithstanding the introduction of this Act in any local area the [State Government may be notification exclude any class of children or youthful offenders from the operation of all or any of the provisions of this Act. ] [Substituted for the word 'provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws Order. 1950.]
