Section 20(1) in Bangalore Mahanagara Palike Building Bye-laws 2003
(1)The area of the kitchen where a separate dining area is provided shall not be less than 5 sqm. with a minimum width of 1.8 m. Where there is a separate stores, the size of the kitchen may be reduced to 4.5 sqm. A kitchen which is also intended for dining shall have a floor area of not less than 7.5 sqm. with a minimum width of 2.1 m.
