Section 52(1) in The Anna University of Technology, Chennai Act, 2010
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in the Anna University, Chennai Act, 1978 (Tamil Nadu Act 30 of 1978) (hereinafter referred to as the 1978 Act), the statutes, ordinances, regulations and orders made thereunder, on and from the appointed day, the colleges in the University area shall be disaffiliated from the Anna University, Chennai to which they were affiliated on the date immediately preceding appointed day.
