15. Penalty for dismissed members of the Police-force not delivering up clothing, accoutrements, etc.
Every member of the Police-force who shall be dismissed from or shall cease to hold and exercise, his office and who shall not forthwith deliver up his certificate, and all the clothing, accoutrements and other necessaries which may have been supplied to him for the execution of his duty, to the Commissioner, or to such person, and at such time and place, as shall be directed by the said Commissioner shall be liable on summary conviction before a Magistrate, to imprisonment, with or without hard labour, for any term not exceeding one month.And it shall be lawful for the Commissioner, or for any Magistrate, to issue his warrant to search for and seize all the clothing, accountrements, appointments and other necessaries which shall not be so delivered over, wherever the same may be found.
