SHRI V. ELUMALAI (ARANI): Hon. Deputy Speaker, the monthly requirement of kerosene in Tamil Nadu as per the entitlement of family card holders is 59,000 kilolitres as on 30.04.2016. The allocation which was 59,780 kilolitres upto March 2010 has been reduced ten times in the last few years and now it stands at just 27,060 kilolitres which is only 46 per cent of the State’s requirement. Therefore, I appeal to the Government to immediately restore the kerosene allocation to Tamil Nadu to the required level of 59,000 kilolitres per month to continue the use of kerosene through the PDS.
