Section 2(52) in The Bombay Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949
(52)"public street" means any street,-(a)heretofore levelled, paved, metalled, channelled, sewered or repaired out of municipal or other public fund, or(b)which under the provisions of section 224 is declared to be, or under any other provision of this Act becomes, a public street;
