Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India
to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 & 2 herein to
provide adequate police protection to the petitioner for carrying out
maintenance and regular replacement of thatched roof for the rented
brick stone building to the extent of 506 sq.fts. situated at
R.S.No.189/29(N) in Door No.14, Perumal Koil Street, Villianur,
Puducherry.

ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents 1 & 2.
3.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents 1 & 2 submitted that the representation / complaint made by the petitioner is not available with the 2nd respondent. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that if fresh representation / complaint is made by the petitioner, the same will be enquired and a decision will be taken with regard to providing police protection.
4.Considering the submissions made by learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to give a fresh representation / complaint to the 2nd respondent. The 2nd respondent, on https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 2/4 W.P.No.8154 of 2024 receipt of the same, shall conduct an enquiry by issuing notice to all the interested parties and shall take a decision within a period of four (4) weeks.
5.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
