Section 7(1) in The M.P. Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1964
(1)If any owner or other person, competent to enter into an agreement under Section 5 of the maintenance of a State-protected monument, refuses or fails to enter into such an agreement when proposed to him by the Director and in any endowment has been created for that purpose among others, the State Government may institute a suit in the Court of the District Judge, or if the estimated cost of repairing the monument does not exceed one thousand rupees, may make an application to the District Judge for the proper application of such endowment or part thereof.
