71. Checking of admission register and release diary.
- The Assistant Superintendent and the Jailor in-charge of judicial work shall every day or at frequent intervals personally check each fresh entry in the Admission Register and shall see that for each entry therein, a corresponding entry is made against the proper date in the Release Diary in Form No. XI and that in the case of a prisoner to whom remission is granted or who is sentenced while in prison, the entry in the release diary is altered so as to indicate the date on which the prisoner is due for actual release.
