Section 2(4) in Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, 1973
(4)'associated college' means any institution recognised by the University and authorised under the provisions of [this Act and the Statutes of the University] [Substituted by Section 5 of Uttar Pradesh Act No. 29 of 1974 for the words 'this Act.] to provide for the teaching necessary for admission to a degree of the University;
