Section 53(2) in Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority Act, 1985
(2)When any building of any part thereof within the prescribed line of the street falls down or is burnt down or is taken down, under the provisions of this Act or otherwise, the Authority may at once take possession of the portion of land within the prescribed line of the street previously occupied by the said building and if necessary.
