(1)This Act may be called the Maharashtra Chit Funds Act, 1974.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra.(3)It shall come into force in such areas and on such dates as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dales may be appointed for different areas and for different provisions of this Act.
