Section 33(iv) in Haryana Municipal Drainage and Sanitation Bye-laws, 1977
(iv)carried upwards to such a height and in such manner so as to prevent any nuisance or injury or danger to health arising from the omission of foul air from such pipe, the minimum height being 150 cm. above flat roof or terrace parapet whichever is higher or top of the window within a horizontal distance of 3 metres and be fitted with suitable cowl. In case the adjacent building is taller, the ventilating pipe shall be carried higher than the roof of the adjacent building wherever it is possible.
