Section 36(3)(a) in The Jammu and Kashmir Hindu Marriage Act, 1980

(a)the validity of a marriage solemnized between Hindus before the commencement of this Act, which is otherwise valid, by reason only of the fact that the parties thereto belong to the same gotra or pravara or belonged to different religions, castes or the sub-divisions of the same caste ; and
