Section 14(i) in Uka Tarsadia University First Statutes, 2012
(i)To create teaching and other academic posts and to define the functions and conditions of service of the professors, associate professors/readers, assistant professors/ lecturers, instructors, demonstrators other teachers and the academic staff employed by the University after taking into consideration the recommendations of the Academic Council;
