Section 28(1) in Gujarat Compulsory Primary Education Act, 1961
(1)On the commencement of this Act, those provisions of the Bombay Primary Education Act, 1947 (Bombay LXI of 1947) and the Saurashtra Primary Education Act, 1956 (Saurashtra XXXIII of 1956) which relate exclusively to compulsion of primary education shall subject to the provisions of sub-sections (2), (3) and (4) stand repealed.
