Section 25(1) in Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919
(1)Any Councillor [***] [The words 'or alderman' were omitted by Tamil Nadu Act XXIV of 1958.] may call the attention of the proper authority to any neglect in the execution of municipal work, to any waste of municipal property, or to the wants of any locality, and may suggest any improvements which he considers desirable.
