Section 1 in The Orissa Municipal Corporation Act, 2003
1. Short title, extent, commencement and application.
(1)This Act may be called the Orissa Municipal Corporation Act, 2003.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Orissa.(3)It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 11th day of February, 2003 in the cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and in any other city on the date on which the area thereof is specified by the Governor under clause (2) of Article 243Q of the Constitution to be a larger urban area.
