Section 32 in Instructions Relating to Liquor

32. Casks.

- All retailer's casks brought into use must be measured and registered in the prescribed form and the number and capacity must be painted on the head of each cask. The numbering must commence afresh at the beginning of each financial year thus-

The capacity must be ascertained by actual measurement with gallon measure or by weighment. Each cask or drum removed under bond from a warehouse must bear upon the outside of one head its capacity to the nearest tenth of a gallon and the names of the distiller and the warehouse. These letters and figures must be in English and at least one inch in height. All old markings must be obliterated at every time of issue from the warehouse.
