(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules every application for the supply of water free of charge for agricultural purposes and not for commercial or industrial purposes including the cultivation of sugarcane by sugar companies from a canal vesting in the Government and on which Government has not incurred any expenditure, shall be made in duplicate to the Canal Officer concerned in Form A 3, and may be delivered personally or sent by post to the Canal Officer concerned.(2)Printed copy of the prescribed Form of application shall be supplied to the applicant free of charge.
