Section 63 in Punjab Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads Act, 1961
63. Appropriation of the proceeds of local rate.-
The proceeds of local rate levied in the area of a Panchayat Samiti shall be allotted to that Panchayat Samiti:Provided that the Government may direct that the whole or any portion of the net proceeds of the local rate levied within the limits of any Municipality or Cantonment, after deducting the expense of collection, shall be carried to the credit of the Municipal Fund or made available for the purpose of public improvement in the Cantonment.
