(1)Jail labour may be utilised -(a)for the preparation of building materials for the Public Works Department or for private sale, within the jail premises;(b)for the construction of works under the Public Works Department in or near the jail; and(c)with the previous sanction of Government on large works at a distance from any permanent jail.
