Section 255(1) in The U.P. Municipalities Act, 1916
(1)The owner or keeper of any cattle or other animals, found tethered, or straying about without a keeper in a street or public place shall be liable on conviction to a fine which may extend to [two hundred and fifty] [Substituted by U.P Act No. 26 of 1964.] rupees.
