Section 1 in The Konkan Irrigation Development Corporation Act, 1997
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Konkan Irrigation Development Corporation Act, 1997.(2)It shall extend to the area of the Konkan region of the State of Maharashtra specified in the Schedule and such other area or areas, as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify.(3)It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 4th December, 1997.
