&. Waving heard Mr Vicky Nagrani, counsel for the applicants and having gone through the nature of the relief prayed for, we are of the opinion that the presence of the respondents is not necessary for the disposal of this application.
3 OA No. 754 of 20233. MrNagrani, counsel for the applicants, at the outset, on instructions, makes a statement that the purpose of the OA will be served, if the Respondents are directed to dispose of the individual representations of the applicants, dated 23° June, 2023, (a specimen copy ofthe representation is annexed at Annexure-10, page-128 of the OA) as expeditiously as possible.
4. Since the relief sought for by the applicants is innocuous and the applicants have preferred individual representations dated 23" June, 2023 with a request to grant notional promotion with effect from 01* January, 2022, this application is disposed of with a direction to the Respondents to dispose of the applicants individual representations within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Respondent No.2 shall decide the representations by passing a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law on its own merits.
6. It is made clear that we have not gone into the merits of the case. 7 Original Application ordered accordingly at the stage of admission with no order as to costs.
