Section 42 in The Bihar and Orissa Local Self-Government Act, 1885
42. Term of office of members.
- The term of office of the members of a Union Committee shall be two years from the date of their election or appointment, but shall include any period which may elapse between the expiration of the said two years and the date of the next subsequent election or appointment not being an election or appointment under the next succeeding section.At the expiration of such term such members may be re-elected or reappointed.
