Section 34(2) in The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Act, 1981
(2)Every meeting of [a standing committee or a wards committee] [Substituted by Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporation Laws (Amendment and Special Provision) Act 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 26 of 1994).] shall be presided over by its chairman and in his absence by a member thereof chosen by the meeting to preside for the occasion.
