"1.4 Selection of candidates:
1.4.1 National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of rank obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-2017 being conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. As per Graduate Medical Education Regulation, 1997 of Medical Council of India, it shall be necessary for the (Miss Deepa Chettri & Ors v. State of Sikkim & Ors.) candidates to obtain minimum marks at 50 th percentile at NEET, 2016. However, in respect of the candidates belonging to Schedule Castes, Scheduled Tribes, the minimum marks shall be at 40th percentile. In respect of candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile. The percentile shall be determine on the basis of highest marks secured in the all India common merit list in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/ BDS courses.
