2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. This writ petition is filed seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's application for regularization of unapproved plots and layouts submitted on 27.02.2021 under registration numbers DTCP/L/1027571/2017, DTCP/L/0995311/2017 DTCP/0999287 /2017, DTCP/L/1000726/2017, and DTCP/L/1012072/2017 within the time frame fixed by this Court.
5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
6. The facts of the case are undisputed. Considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition and in the light of the fact that the petitioner's application dated 27.02.2021, for regularization of unapproved plots is kept pending for over 6 years I am inclined to issue a direction to the respondent to https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis ( Uploaded on: 12/06/2025 05:29:05 pm ) consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 16.11.2018, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eights weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
