In some extraordinary cases (which are the exception rather than the rule) a Writ Petition can be filed. In such cases-
a) adequate and proper details /averments must be present in a Writ affidavit and the documents also should be of unimpeachable quality which will enable the court to correct the date of birth;

(b) the petitioner should clearly plead that due to a genuine clerical or human error which is patently visible the mistake has occurred.
