2. Petitioner is the first accused in the crime. The alleged offences are under Sections 420, 120B & 379 of Indian Penal Code. According to prosecution, the petitioner was operating a parallel telephone exchange. It is alleged that by doing so, he has caused loss to the Department and Government. Though the petitioner was arrested in connection with another crime on 13.5.2008, the arrest was recorded in this case only on 22.5.2008. He is in custody since 13.5.2008 onwards.
