The writ petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to give Permission to the Dance Programme in the event of Festival of Nadu Pulankulam Sree Ramasamy Kovil at Santhi Kovil Street, Nadu Pulankulam, Alankulam Taluk, Thirunelveli District on 29.09.2014.

2.By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4.In the affidavit it has been stated that the petitioner, who is residing at Santhi Kovil Street, Nadu Pulankulam, Alankulam Taluk and others have decided to conduct the festival of Nadu Pulankulam Sree Ramasamy Kovil at Santhi Kovil Street, Nadu Pulankulam, Alankulam Taluk, Thirunelveli District and fixed the date of celebration on 29.09.2014. It is further stated that they have decided to conduct Dance Programme on 29.09.2014 and hence, he approached the second respondent on 16.09.2014 to provide police protection and the second respondent did not consider the same. Aggrieved over the same, the present writ petition has been filed.
