This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to give the permission for conducting Aadal Padal dance programme on 23.08.2014 in the eve of Mandagapadi festival of our village a Arulmigu Sri.Veetrinthammal Temple belongs to Natham Village, Thottiam Taluk, Trichy District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 14.08.2014.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Mr.N.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

In the affidavit, it has been stated that every year, the villagers used to celebrate Mandagapadi festival of Arulmigu Sri.Veetrinthammal Temple belongs to Natham Village, Thottiam Taluk, Trichy District and devotees from various parts of the State used to visit the temple and offer their prayers. In this year also, the villagers have decided to celebrate the said festival on 23.082014. In this regard the petitioner has sent a representation, dated 14.08.2014 to the second respondent seeking permission to conduct the dance programme. But the said representation has not been considered so far. Hence the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.
