Leave is granted to the learned Advocate for the
petitioner to add the new incumbent in the office of Block
Development Officer, Tarakeswar, Hooghly, as added
respondent in the contempt petition. Learned Advocate
shall carry out necessary correction in the cause title of the contempt petition.
This contempt application has been taken out alleging wilful violation of an order dated April 18, 2019 whereby WP 4695 (W) of 2019 was disposed of by directing the concerned Block Development Officer to take a reasoned decision on the representation of the writ petitioner pertaining to her grievances in relation to a cremation ground located at her village, in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of communication of the order after giving an opportunity of hearing to all the parties who may be affected by the order to be passed.
Learned Advocate for the petitioner says that in spite of due communication of the said order to the Block Development Officer, no steps have been taken in terms of the order.
2Let copies of the contempt petition be served on both the respondents and affidavit-of-service be filed on the next date.
