This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission and necessary protection to perform the cultural program (ie.,) dance program (Adal Padal) on 15.07.2022 in the evening during the “Poo Thiru Vizha” at Sri Pillai Vagai Kali Amman Kovil, Poovali Sivagangai District.

2.Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner seeks permission for conducting the cultural program (ie.,) dance program (Adal Padal) on 15.07.2022 in the evening during the “Poo Thiru Vizha” at Sri Pillai Vagai Kali Amman Kovil, Poovali Sivagangai District. Subsequent to the same, in order to conduct a cultural programme, they sought permission of the police by giving a https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis representation dated 02.07.2022. But the respondents have not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.
