3.6 It is also submitted that the applicant's contention that the passing marks for the retention test is 40% is factually incorrect. As per the relevant Railway Board guidelines, the prescribed passing percentage for safety category examinations is 60%, and no relaxation is provided for any category of candidates, including those belonging to Scheduled Castes (Annexure-R/7 refer).

Further, the stipend of the applicant was initially released by the Personnel Department. However, due to non-availability of the absentee statement, no stipend has been paid to the applicant from September 2022 till date.
