16. Article 100(2) of the Code stipulates that the treasurer of the comunidade shall have the power to pay to the administration of comunidades every month and in the first three days of the month, the respective shares in the ordinary and extraordinary 'derrama' to the National Treasury at the appropriate time, property tax and other taxes due; and to zonnkars, shareholders, consignees and other creditors of the comunidade, each year or at the proper seasons of the year, as per the provisions of this code or in the respective contracts, or on the orders of a higher authority, the profits, dividends, interest, salaries or 26th July 2024 WP-1004-17-1177-2019.doc other payments. We need to note that 'Derrama' means compulsory financial contribution from the net revenue to make up the deficit in the budget of the administration office of Comunidades.
