This Criminal Original Petition has been filed calling for all records pertaining to the impugned order passed by the 2nd respondent in Order dated 14.06.2023 and quash the same and consequently directing the 2nd respondent to give permission to conduct the dance program at Shri Bilavadi Amman Temple festival at Kilputhupattu village, Marakkanam Taluk, Villupuram District on 20.06.2023.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner gave a representation to the respondents seeking permission to conduct Adal Padal program during the celebration of temple festival of Shri Bilavadi Amman Temple, at Kilputhupattu Village, Marakkanam Taluk, Viluppuram district, scheduled on 20.06.2023. The Inspector of Police, Kottakuppam Police Station, Viluppuram district, while giving permission for conducting temple festival rejected the permission sought for conducting Adal Padal program for the reason that some persons would dance after consumption of alcohol and that would lead to law and order issue.
