42. Rule 31-B of KMMC Rules, 1994 reads as under;
31-B. Reservation of Blocks.-(1) Area to be granted for quarrying lease or composite licence shall be delineated by the jurisdictional Deputy Director or Senior Geologist and the blocks will be suitably numbered and Deputy Director or Senior Geologist shall prepare a technical report containing minerals available, estimated resource or reserve, sketch of the block with Global Positioning System co-ordinates and details of approach road and land marks, to guide the prospective applicant to the area to be auctioned, which shall be part of bidding document. (2) For the purpose of reservation, the concerned jurisdictional Deputy Director or Senior Geologist shall group the blocks of all the minor minerals specified in Part A and Part B of Schedule I- A separately for the entire district proposed for grant of quarry lease and follow the roster system.
