The Writ Petition is directed against the order dated 01.10.2024 passed by the second respondent and for further directions to the respondents to grant permission to conduct Karakattam and Aadal Padal Dance Programme schedule to be held on 15.10.2024 and 16.10.2024 in the eve of Arulmigu Malaikarupanan Swamy Temple festival at Keelavadakkoor Village, Sakkudi Post, Madurai District.

2.Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that “Purattasi Festival” of Arulmigu Malaikarupanan Swamy Temple festival at Keelavadakkoor Village, Sakkudi Post, Madurai https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis District is going to be held and subsequent to the same, in order to conduct Karakattam and Aadal Padal Dance programme on 15.10.2024 and 16.10.2024, they sought permission by giving a representation dated 29.09.2024 before the second respondent, that the second respondent has passed the impugned order dated 01.10.2024 rejecting the permission and that therefore, the writ petitioner was constrained to approach this Court.
